Mental fitness is like physical fitness. When you apply all the correct practices consistently you will experience their benefit over time. The reason it might not have worked for you in the past is because either the practices were improper or incomplete or you were not able to do them regularly. Rest assured when you do the correct practices diligently and consistently with proper Faith. They will work over time.
Ideally when you wake up and before you go to bed. But in case you miss them then do them anytime you get some free time.
These 6 days you will be getting all the basic practices that you need to continue for good. Just like for physical fitness you go to the gym regularly eat healthy for life similarly for mental fitness you need to think positive thoughts and exercise the healthy mental practices for life. Initially it might feel hard but as you do the practices repetitively you will build a HABIT of thinking positively, feeling calmer and grateful.
